Technical Requirements

In order to use the Climate Schools USA website you will need the following technical requirements (please read all steps carefully and complete necessary updates/downloads).

Internet connection

A stable and relatively quick Internet connection will provide the best user experience. Please note that the Climate Schools website may not work reliably on very low speed or erratic Internet connections.

A web browser

This website has been built using Web Standards therefore will work across modern browsers such as: Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer 11, etc., we have also made sure this website works with older versions of Internet Explorer from version 8. We have dropped support for Internet Explorer version 7, if you're using this browser you'll see a notification across the top of the website asking you to upgrade, we recommend Google Chrome.

JavaScript enabled

Certain parts of this website require JavaScript to be enabled in order to work, visit here for instructions on how to enable JavaScript.

Adobe Flash plugin

Certain parts of this website use Adobe Flash. If you're accessing this website from your desktop, this is the recommended software to view cartoons. To install Flash, please visit here to see if your web browser has Flash installed. If you don't have it, select the 'install plugin' link. If Flash is not available on your device, alternate options have been provided.

Receiving login details via email

In some cases your school may filter out emails from our website. As such you should ask your IT staff to ‘White List’ emails from the domain: @climateschools.com. If students forget their login details, they will need to receive emails from our website to reset their account passwords.

Adobe Reader

Many documents for this website are in Adobe PDF format, you will need Adobe Reader to view them, visit here to download the latest version of Adobe Reader (formerly called Acrobat Reader).

Display

Your monitor resolution should be at a minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels, recommended is 1366 x 768 pixels or higher. If you're using a smaller resolution such as a tablet device resolution the site will scale down to fit.
